A useful distinction

A centimeter label is not foot length

Nike’s CM/JP shoe label differs from its measured-foot-length column. Use the foot-length input for an actual measurement and the label input for a box size; treating the two as interchangeable can select a different chart row.

Comparing size labels with foot length

A regional shoe label and a measured foot length are related through the selected reference, but brands and shoe shapes can differ. Choose the correct age group and region before converting. Check whether the entered measurement describes the foot rather than the shoe's outside length. The result is a reference estimate, so use the manufacturer's sizing information when selecting a particular pair.
