Review a backup before sharing it
A workspace backup can contain several saved scenarios, including their inputs and results. Review its contents before sending it elsewhere; sharing a backup may disclose more than the single calculation currently visible on your screen.
Calculator inputs and results
Most calculations run in your browser without an account. Road mileage sends selected locations to map services. Reference-data modes retrieve public snapshots without sending your entered amount or selected pair. The privacy policy explains local files, sharing, and optional browser-assistant tools.
Copy tool link copies the page address without your calculator values. CSV downloads are created in your browser. If you copy, download, print, email, or otherwise share a result, the destination you choose may receive it.
Your local workspace
Favorites and calculations are stored on this device only when you choose to save them. My workspace lets you reopen, rename, compare, delete, export, and import them. Nothing syncs to other devices automatically.
Clearing site data removes your workspace. Backup files include saved inputs and results; keep them somewhere you trust. Passwords and encoding-tool contents cannot be saved to the workspace.
Currency reference data
Some currency modes request a shared reference-data snapshot from Finflo’s server. The server obtains public data from sources including the European Central Bank, Frankfurter, Coinbase, and Chile’s Servicio de Impuestos Internos. Your amount and selected currency pair are used locally and are not included in these reference-data requests.
Reference snapshots may be cached by the server, your browser, or hosting infrastructure. The calculator shows available source dates and identifies reference or spot values. Manual-rate calculations do not need a reference-data request.
Road mileage and place searches
Selecting Find place sends that search to Nominatim through Finflo. Selecting Calculate on the mileage tool sends the two route coordinates to the FOSSGIS OpenStreetMap routing service through Finflo. Finflo sends requests only when you use these controls; it does not use location autocomplete or request your device location.
Finflo temporarily caches place-search responses in server memory for up to 24 hours and routes for up to five minutes to reduce provider requests. These bounded caches are not a saved trip history. Map providers may log requests under their own privacy policies. Do not submit locations you do not want those services to receive.
Local files and text utilities
The Base64 file tool reads only a file you select. Finflo converts its contents in your browser and creates a local download; the tool does not upload the file or its filename to Finflo. Text encoding, decoding, and password generation also run locally.
Downloaded files remain wherever you save them until you remove them. Your browser, extensions, operating system, and any application you use to open or share a file operate under their own settings and policies.
Optional browser-assistant tools
A compatible browser or assistant may offer tools that interact with Finflo’s calculators. When you invoke a supported calculation through that service, it can supply inputs, update the visible form, and receive the calculation’s result and notes. That browser or assistant’s own privacy practices apply to information it handles.
Finflo does not require this integration. Ordinary calculator controls work without it. Finflo does not register password generation, Base64, or URL encoding and decoding as assistant tools.
Website requests and hosting
Opening pages and requesting reference data sends ordinary connection information to the hosting infrastructure, such as your IP address, browser details, requested URL, and request time. Search terms entered in the site’s search are included in the search-page URL. Hosting providers may process request and security logs to deliver and protect the service.
Finflo does not currently provide visitor accounts or store calculator inputs in an application database.
Finflo is hosted on Railway. Railway processes connection and service logs to operate the website. Log availability and retention depend on the hosting account and plan; Finflo does not claim a fixed retention period here.
Cookies, advertising, and analytics
Finflo currently loads no advertising networks, marketing analytics, or optional tracking cookies. Your browser may cache pages, code, and public reference data so they can load again more quickly.
If these practices change, we will update this notice and provide any relevant preferences before enabling the new service.
When you choose a country or currency, Finflo stores those preferences in this browser’s local storage so they can apply on future visits. Calculator inputs and results are not saved with these preferences. Use “Use language defaults” in the language menu, or clear site data in your browser, to remove them. If browser storage is unavailable, preferences apply only for the current page session.
Saved world clocks and your default clock are stored in this browser when you choose Save clock or Make default. Remove saved clocks individually or clear site data to remove clock preferences. The countdown timer uses this tab’s session storage to restore its state after a reload; this session data normally lasts until the tab is closed. Stopwatch laps stay only on the open page.
Contact messages
If you email Finflo, your email provider and ours process the message. We use the information you send to respond to your request or investigate the reported issue. Please use fictional examples when reporting a calculation problem and avoid including unnecessary personal information.
For privacy questions or requests about information you have sent to us, use the contact details on our Contact page. We cannot retrieve calculator inputs that were never sent to or saved by Finflo.
