How it works
Decimal precision determines the available pool
From 0 to 1 inclusive with two decimal places, there are 101 possible values: 0.00, 0.01, through 1.00. Requesting 102 unique results is impossible even though the underlying interval contains infinitely many real numbers.
Checking range and repetition settings
Choose the minimum, maximum, and number of results according to the sample you need. Check whether endpoints are included and whether repeated values are allowed in the selected options. A random sample can contain clusters or repeats without indicating an error. Keep the generator's stated limitations in mind before using output for a security-sensitive or formally regulated drawing.
Random numbers: formula and assumptions
Uniform sampling gives equal probability to each permitted integer.
Both endpoints are inclusive. Decimal mode samples a fixed grid at your chosen precision. Bounds support exponents through ±5,000, up to 999 decimal places and 1,000 results, within a one-million-character output budget. Uniform sampling uses cryptographic random bytes and exact integers.

Common questions
Are the minimum and maximum included?
Integer bounds are inclusive. Decimal mode samples the permitted fixed-precision grid within the bounds, so an endpoint must lie on that grid.
Why can a request for unique values be rejected?
The requested count cannot exceed the number of permitted values in the range or decimal grid. Output-size limits also apply.
